Fun and Fiber at TNNA Print E-mail

The weekend of June 7-9, 2008, held the summer trade show of The National Needlearts Association (TNNA), and we were there!  We met wonderful new people and introduced exciting new yarns.

One of the most interesting people we met was Dr. Linda Williams, who is studying how learning to knit and crochet affects students’ academic skills.  We also spent time with Meredith Kubicki, of Llamajama and Ghost Knitters fame.  We’ve started distributing her 1855 line of 100% merino that’s handspun and naturally dyed.  After seeing all the traffic at her booth, we know she’s going to be one busy lady!

We’ve introduced a spectacular new feature to our product lines this year:  COLOR! Judith MacKenzie McCuin has overdyed our bison/nylon blend (#4), and it now comes in many eyecatching shades, available exclusively through YarnMarket.com.  Buffboo #13, the bamboo/bison blend, is hand painted by Diana Blair at Going to the Sun; it now comes in two beautiful colorways in addition to the original natural shade. Of course, there was time to visit with old friends like Linda Cortright of Wild Fibers magazine; Sergio Mercado and Fernando Alvarez of Jacque Cartier Clothier; and Carl and Eileen Koop of Bijou Basin Ranch.  We saw lots of our current retail customers and met plenty of new ones.

Stay tuned here for one more fabulous new product VERY SOON!
