Yes, folks ... BIG NEWS and GOOD NEWS. Lindsey ... the site manager of the Goodnight Historical Center is working with me on their store. A lot will be carried over, thankfully. We are also building a new house on the North side of US 287 .... and (sssshhhhh) most likely will still have meat and jerky available once we get that done. No; we are not "quitting" - HERD WEAR will continue (while I spend more time fishing and with family). Be sure you are on our email list and also on Buffalo Wool Co's list. Keep checking the blog posts on this website as well ... i will be adding info there about the events ... and they are lining up sweet! Come see us while we are here!
Yes, folks ... BIG NEWS. The Texas Historical Commission has bought the store in Goodnight. We will be there through the end of July, 2024 ... and then on line or by phone. No; we are not "quitting" - HERD WEAR will continue. Be sure you are on our email list and also on Buffalo Wool Co's list.

BOOKS - No Turning Back: The Art of Veryl Goodnight

$75.00

One of American's most recognized sculptresses and artists, Veryl has brought to life so many of the western heritage subjects that it is hard to catalog.  Bison, horses, wild animals to frontier women and children.  Her "Back from the Brink" - Mary Ann "Molly" Dyer Goodnight, bottle feeding two buffalo calves - overlooks the Palo Duro Canyon on the grounds of the restored Goodnight Buffalo Ranch Headquarters in Goodnight, Texas.  Veryl's stories illustrate how the bronzes come to life from paper to the final product.  But there is so much more, including "Charlie", the truly orphaned bison calf she and husband Roger Brooks raised in their house.

40 years of photos, content and history all in one.  Hardcover.
